Troubleshooting Common Problems
Errors
(SSL Error 82) is known problem for Windows Vista/XP/2003/2000/NT users using version 10 of the Citrix Client. The user must uninstall version 10. Version 9.237 (download from the following link) can be used until Citrix corrects the problems with version 10. http://web.gc.cuny.edu/informationresources/citrix/
Important information to acquire:
• What OS are they using? o Make sure it’s supported Windows Vista/XP/2003/2000/NT Windows 98/95 WinCE/PocketPC Macintosh/OS X/PowerPC UNIX/Solaris Sparc/Linux/AIX IBM/HP UX/Solaris x86/SGI IBM OS/2 Warp Windows 16-bit DOS • What web browser are they using and is it current? o Make sure it’s supported Internet Explorer, Netscape, FireFox • What ICA Client Version was downloaded? And from where? o Win32? OS X? Java? Mac? Linux? • Do they have basic internet connectivity? • Is their computer date/time correct? • Do they have at least Power User rights (Windows)? • What is the exact error message?
Common Problems:
• “No ICA Client Found” o Delete Temporary Internet Cache
• “Proxy” Errors o Remove all proxy settings from browser
• “SSL” Certificate Errors o Must be download from our site for SSL certificate validation: https://citrix.gc.cuny.edu or http://inside.gc.cuny.edu/citrix
• Can’t Log In o Make sure CAPS lock is off (passwords are case sensitive)
• Other error messages o Go to http://support.citrix.com/ o Enter error message and follow steps to resolve if found o Also try http://www.google.com o Enter error message and follow steps to resolve if found
