Resetting Your Password
There are four options available to you to reset your GC password. However, we are not allowed to reset passwords over the phone or via email.
OPTION 1
If your password has not expired, reset your password on the Internet by going to the following web site: https://pwreset.gc.cuny.edu
OPTION 2
Visit the Help Desk at the Graduate Center in person with a valid ID and request that your password be reset.
OPTION 3
Have your department’s APO contact us requesting a password reset on your behalf.
OPTION 4
Fax, scan or email us a copy of your valid Graduate Center ID to (212) 817-1618. If you have not yet received your Graduate Center id a bursars receipt is acceptable. Please include an email address where you would like to receive your new password.
Note: Our system administrator contacted Microsoft
regarding the 'object error' message users receive when they
try to change their password using owa. Microsoft's response
was that the problem was with the user's workstation, so we
ask that people use the https://pwreset.gc.cuny.edu to change their
password instead of the outlook web access.
