Mac

All iMacs in the library are available for use. To login, click on the student account at the login screen. All changes made to the account and files saved will be deleted when you log out. Please save your documents to your U: drive, a flash drive or other media.

Windows

There are windows workstations on the second floor and concourse level available for us by Graduate Center affiliates only. You will need to supply your Graduate Center Computing account to log into these computers. You will able to access your "U:\" drive from these machines. These machines have MS Office 2007 installed. Please be aware that you will need to save your office documents to a backwards compatible format should you plan to edit them on an older version of office at some point.

Public Computers for Non-GC Affliates

Visiting researchers from other CUNY schools have the use of 30 public windows workstations located on the first and second floors to conduct library research. These workstations provide basic Internet access to all library electronic resources and allow users to save documents to a USB flash drive if desired. Currently there are no printing services available to non Graduate Center users.

Laptops

Users have access to 24 stations where a laptop can be plugged into an Ethernet cable to receive basic Internet access. There is also a beta wireless network currently deployed in the library that laptop users can connect to. This wireless network provides basic Internet access as well. It is still in development so the library cannot guarantee that this service will be consistently available at this time. Neither of these options provides printing services at this time.
